Doeden explains in this paragraph the other options for spending over 100 billion dollars on the space adventure to Mars. Although this is a massive step in human advancement, there are other problems humans need to take care of before humans abandon Earth. He gives examples that would make more sense in the state of the world today and the economic state of the country. Some of his examples included: paying off some of the national debt, using the money for the furtherment of the educational system, and researching renewable resources.
Firstly, the author claims that because of the many technological advances due to the "Space Race", a commitment to a manned mission to Mars will produce similar results. Although there are many similarities between committing to sending a man to the moon and to sending a man to mars, it false for the author to assume that there will be similar technological and humanitarian advances. The 1960's is a very different time period from today and as a result, it is unknown whether a manned mission to Mars will prove to be a worthy investment. Additionally, a large part of the "space Race" can be attributed to the competition between the USSR and the USA during the Cold War. The competition for becoming the leader in space technology was very fierce and was very politically driven, allowing for huge amounts of money to be invested in space technology.
One reason is that money in space should be spent on preserving Earth. From, Mars as a Backup Planet, Lucianne Walkoowicz says, “at the same time as we’re discovering this treasure trove of potentially habitable worlds, our own planet is sagging under the weight of humanity.” It’s important to notice that the author thinks that our Earth is dying and by the
As soon as Rob and his crew stepped into the rocket for their infeasible journey to Mars, it finally settled in. This was a journey very few men would like to take. Even though nobody has taken it before or even attempted it. They spent years perfecting this rocket to master efficiency, safety, and the overall effectiveness. They researched then performed tests, then conducted more research and then performed more tests until they constructed the perfect rocket at the right price to make the astounding journey.
John F. Kennedy once said "We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard. " There are so many reason not go to Mars. If people went to mars its way different than here on earth it will be a lot of money, don’t know how to get back, and will die from dangerous things up in Mars. Nasa cant send people to mars because it’s a lot of money and dangerous things that can go wrong by going to Mars. Even though the people want to go to mars for exploring and finding new things to see what is up there in mars but its quite risky people can have problems while they are heading to mars, that the astronauts can get injured, and its pricey but also having a back up for earth is good because we never know what can happen.
Good afternoon fellow classmates, today I´m able to present my claim on major exploration. Carl Sagan once said ¨The universe is a pretty big place, if itś just us, seems like a waste of space.¨ and also Christopher Reeve one stated ¨Either you decide to stay in the shadow end of the pool, or you can go out in the ocean.¨ Major (Both Space and Ocean) exploration is worth the risk considering it helps us find new discoveries that could shape the world into a better place, comparing as the invention fire did a long time ago as well, and It could help us find new ways of expanding our health, so we can live longer . For example, in John F. Kennedy speech, it states ¨Examinations of the astronaut's physical, and mental, and emotional reactions
Colonizing Mars It takes nine months to get to the red planet. Nine long months in a spaceship without much food, oxygen, water, little living space, and only other people to keep you company. Colonization of Mars is not okay because the planet is deadly, the trip is long, and the atmosphere is frigid. Mars is very deadly, unlike Earth.
Mars has potential in becoming another habitable planet humans could thrive on. Unfortunately, it would take a lot of hard work, and scientific theories to make it a reality. Scientists have theorized a variety of different ways to make Mars habitable thankfully. One theory is to put micro organisms onto the surface. These organisms would be able to take in Nitrogen from the air and create oxygen.
Now that the analysis of the importance of putting resources into space programs has been made evident by its impact on technology as well as society as a whole, there must be a suitable body for the space programs to aim for. Among extraterrestrial bodies in our solar system, Mars is unique in that it possesses all the raw materials required to support not only life, but a new branch of human civilization. Of the extraterrestrial bodies in our solar system, Mars is unique when compared to the others because of the natural resources it holds that are required to support life. Mars contains the potential to not only support human life, but to support a new branch of civilization. In human history, those who first establish themselves in the
To conclude, the United States should spend the money needed to explore the outer space because it can inspire other people in the future, accelerate technology development, and create efficiency here on earth. Alun Salt, an Archaeoastronomer at the University of Leicester says, “Historical materials suggest that there was of such sharp division between earth and sky in the ancient world. Instead there was one cosmos. Space exploration reveals that while there is not a divine link between the heavens and the earth, it is true that what happens up there can affect what happens down here. It would be useful to know about the cosmos, rather than just be a victim of it.”
If we don't find another planet we might all die . So that why we need to spend valuable resources on space . We need to spend valuable resources for internet and other projects . Jeff Faust states that ''NASA gets
Humans are inquisitive by nature. From time immemorial , there have been several efforts to understand the world beyond ours . Space exploration ,not only helps us increase our knowledge of the universe but it also open the possibilities of using that knowledge to answer some of the questions that humans have been pondering over for years - how did the human species evolve ; is there life on othe planets and whether we can make use of some of raw materials and other elements from other planets. Thanks to the numerous space exploration efforts , our knowledge of the universe has greatly increased .
Have you ever thought about the risk of spending valuable resources on space travel? In the article “space travel could harm astronauts it could start giving them brain damage “. that explains why we should not spend valuable resources on space exploration. Did you ever know that astronauts can get serious memory loss if where in space for a while. In the text called “ trip to mars could damage a astronauts “ It says that when a space travel travels to mars they could start to mess with the astronauts brains and memory.
Space exploration should not be a priority to our country. In paragraph 7 it states that “ Whether that’s enough to get humans on Mars, I don’t think so. I agree with Keith Wagstaff because we shouldn't be greedy rich humans that don't’ give anything to the poor. In a way they think that money is everything and don't think what else their is because money is really important to them. We should not spend valuable resources on space exploration.
If Nasa and the Federal Government put more money towards space travel and development we could go to Mars or even farther. Space travel is worth all the research, resources, and time. Space travel takes an abundance of time and it is worth it. Gravity
