College, every kids dream when they were little was that they wanted to go to college, but the question is are they ready for it? Many say that we have not been properly educated for the future, but others say we have been taught the proper things we just choose not to learn the material. The problem with this is who is right? there are two theories, but not one of them stands out to be the correct one. This issue has been going around ever since the time they let in more students into the university that didn’t have high English or math skills, they let them in to fill the space. The first theory that was given said that incoming freshman entering into college do not have the proper education and therefore can not succeed as well as others. This does make sense because this is the way I felt for a little while, but its not the way I think of education today. To some people they just don’t get it and the teachers just pass them on to the next. In my eyes this is where the theory came from, some may think that this is exactly what teachers do just to get the kids out of their hands. Also many think that what they teach does not fully prepare them for what is awaiting after high school. Now that is only one side of the story and one theory, the second theory doesn’t state that we were not taught correctly we just choose not to learn the material. It is just as simple as that, some kids just don’t want to spend the time these days to care about school there are more important things out there for them. This is becoming more common in kids and also it is more common in home schooled children because they have less restrictions against them. Both of these examples could be used to find the real culprit of today's academic society, but only one really makes sense to
