Physical therapists can work in a variety of places such as a private home, a local clinic, retirement homes, or even hospitals. A physical therapist who works in a private home benefits the patient as they do not have to worry about transport or travel to a clinic. A physical therapist is also able to create therapy programs based on the objects which the patient has within the house. Working from a clinic allows a therapist to use a number of different objects such as boards, tables, and equipment in order to create the most efficient recovery programs. A physical therapist who decides to work in a hospital helps patients recover from surgery using a much wider variety of equipment similar to what is used in a clinic.
