Jacob Ind planned two murders at the age 15. The murders were his mother and his stepfather. Jacob killed his step father by shooting him in the head and soon after killing his mother as well. Jacob was physically, emotionally and sexually abused by his stepfather and physically and emotionally abused by his mother. Jacob was depressed and soon after the depression he started to cut.
Paul Gregory House was charged in the death of Carolyn Muncey in 1985. Carolyn body was found hundred feet from her home badly beaten with abrasions and partially strangled. House was recently on probation for sexual assault from Utah. His probation was switchover to Tennessee and started living with his girlfriend a few miles from where Carolyn stayed. On the day of discovery of the body, the witness told sheriff that they seen House coming from the area where the body was found.
First, Vanessa Vermont had bought a new broiler and she wanted an outlet for it in her kitchen. In the morning she called an electrician to come install it in. His name was James Volta. Next, when the police walked in the kitchen, we saw Vanessa lying on the kitchen floor dead with a fatal head wound. Finally, James said that he never went to the house and said that the husband knew how to hook it up.
In November of 2014, a man, Gary Fellenbaum, and his girlfriend, Jillian Tait Thursday, are charged with murdering the girlfriend’s 3-year old son. Authorities were called under the false pretense of an unresponsive child, when EMTs arrived, 3-year old Scott McMillan was reported to have suffered from bruises, lacerations, and puncture wounds all over his body. Fellenbaum, Tait, and Fellenbaum’s wife, Amber, confessed to police, “…that the little boy had been beaten with blunt and sharp objects, whipped, taped to a chair with electrical tape and beaten, hung up by his feet and beaten, leading to his death.” (Unknown). Tait later explained to the police that the beatings began because Scott refused to eat his breakfast.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, you are here because one person in this courtroom decided to take law into her own hands. The defendant, Mrs. Dominique Stephens, murdered the man that she vowed to love. This sole act by the defendant is violation of all morals and her husband’s right to live. Afterwards, she even felt guilty about this violation of justice and called the cops on herself, and she later signed a written statement stating that she is guilty of the murder of Mr. Donovan Stephens. Then the defendant later recanted this statement and said that she only killed Mr. Stephens in self defense.
On august 9 2014, an African American 18 year old name Michael brown was killed by Police officer Darren Wilson, in Ferguson with undefined reasons. Michael Brown was a suspect in robbery of a convenience store. Michael brown was walking down the street with his friend Dorian Johnson when he was shot to death by officer Wilson. According to CNN Dorian Johnson stated Brown and himself were walking in the middle of the street when a white male approach them and shouted to get on the sidewalk. The young men refuse then the officer drove forward almost hitting the pair.
O.J. Simpson was a famous football player and that was accused of killing his ex-wife nicole brown , also her boyfriend Ron Goldman. They were brutally stabbed to death on June 12, 1994 at the resident of Nicole brown condo in Brentwood. Before the bodies were ever recovered Oj had packed his bags and caught a flight to Chicago, later he received a phone call saying that Nicole Brown was murder. The cops wanted to talk to him and later he had lead the cops on a hot pursuit chase and they apprehended him. OJ Simpson should be held accountable for murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman.
Imagine you are a cop and you pull up to some rather tall and large teenagers and ask them not to walk in the middle of the street. When noticing that one of the teenager fits the description of a robbery suspect from a robbery that took place earlier that day. That is when you start asking the teenager questions based on the description given from the store owner that had been robbed. When you see the rage in his face you decide to call in for back up. He opens the door and fights you for your gun.
A stolen life banned This book is a book that deals with real life. A life in which no one would ever want to endure. This book is about how a 11 year old girl was kidnapped and her freedom was taken away. This paper will discuss why and how this book "A Stolen Life" is banned from libraries and schools and why schools and libraries choose not to have it? If we want to understand why this book is banned or challenged first we would have to know what that means.
Relationships, lies, murder, conviction. These are all aspects that come into play when talking about the January 13th, 1999 murder of high school student Hae Min Lee. Adnan Syed, Hae’s 17-year-old ex-boyfriend was convicted of her murder in 2000. The problem with this is that the only evidence the state had to convict Adnan was the stories told by others, specifically someone named Jay who was with Adnan for some of the day Hae went missing and had possession of Adnan’s car and cell phone. He claims Adnan made him come pick him up after the murder was committed and assist him in burying Hae’s body.
He couldn’t take it anymore and murdered them both. During Jacob’s trial, his mom’s best friend testified that she would talk about how much she hated him and wished that he’d never been born. His home life was dreadful and he cut himself daily to release the pain. “When things got hard I cut on myself and it made me feel better. Tom Sawyer should not tell the cops what he saw, what he saw was so horrific because there is no way of knowing what could have happened to Huck and Tom. He saw the murder of the doctor, Injun Joe killed him and then framed Muff Potter for the murder. We know, there was no technology back then that could be used to know one hundred percent that DNA was the person that was accused for murder. Today, we have technology to see what fingerprints that are on weapons that the victim was hurt with.
Advantage Taken When a person is interrogated, the police do not try to make him comfortable. Their goal is to make him squirm and admit to something, thus leading to a full-blown confession. Episode four of Making a Murderer focused partially on Brendon Dassey. Brendon Dassey simply fell victim to the pressuring of the police.
