There were other possible alibis and witnesses that could have proved Adnan did not kill Hae, but detectives did not look into them well or not at all. Jay was the State’s main witness. He provided a motive to the police, lead the detectives to Hae’s car, saw Hae’s body, and was Adnan during the majority of the day. (Episode 1, 2, and 4). Jay was there with Adnan when he was talking about killing Hae and why he wanted to. Once Adnan had killed Hae and called Jay, he would go pick up Adnan and then seen Hae’s body. Hendrix did not see Adnan anywhere near Hae’s car; not inside the car either. Jay was the only person who says he saw Adnan in Hae’s car that day. I think, when the police Hendrix, the detectives already decided that Adnan was killer and and they did not ask Hendrix any deeper questions. Jay told the cops that he picked Adnan up from Woodlawn at six p.m. and he was talking to a friend from track. It was noted on March 18, saying, ‘said goodbye to track buddy, Will.’ Will said that no cops nor no attorneys had every called him asking, “was Adnan at track that day?” Will confirmed that track started at four and there was no excuse to be late.
