Animal Testing\ Experimentation Although animal testing has changed from many years until now, it is still a big issue in the world today. According to the article The Rights of Man and Animal Experimentation by John Martin, “If there is a need for animal experimentation in science for the good of man, this approach gives philosophical justification for experimentation”. It has been changing to help prevent cruelty towards animals during research and to get laws passed such as the Animal Welfare Act. This act requires that animals be cared for, have an adequate food and water supply, safe housing, and protection from extreme temperatures (freezing and burning). Although some people may view experimenting or testing as a cruel practice to animals, others view it as a scientific breakthrough.
