Protection of the innocent from authority John Adam stated that “it is more important that innocence be protected than it is that guilt be punished, for guilt and crimes are so frequent in this world that they cannot all be punished” (2004). With the vast amount of power should come with a great amount of responsibility, but recently and a past time individual abuse the power they are given for the worst instead of the worst. The government, security offices, and other individual with vast amounts of money use their authority to abuse the other that lacks the ability to protect them self. Police brutality is Many issues around the media has portrayed polices abusing their power shown that a lot of people have been killed by the police in 2015. The most likely individual to be killed out of the demographics to be killed by police are blacks, but Native Americans are not far behind. And the facts that polices are using excessive force with the arrest when it is not deem necessary is there most likely misconduct. And even more shocking to that fact is that for every 1000 individuals that dies only one police officer is every committee of committing of a crime. Police need to be monitored when they are roaming the streets, yes the police are there to lessen the number of crimes in the world. There are many stories of an individual of who serve time in prison for a crime they didn’t commit. The criminal justice system does make mistakes and produce unfair outcomes. It is said “ you innocent until proven guilty” but it don’t always work like that sometime the finger got to be a point of an individual whether that person committed the crime or not. An individual status quo plays a part in the determination of whether are going to be a dame guilty or not. The more money that an individual’s contends, then the more likely that the justice system is on their side. Decisions can be bought and punishment can lessen based on your status quo.
