Glenn II Wayne State University November 4, 2017 Amid the battling countries of WWI there were several different views on the War itself and on how to create peace in the World. There was the Allied Powers and Central Powers that battled each other to obtain mainly security of Government, security of the of land and most of all for the security of the World. The Archduke of Austria Hungary, Francis Ferdinand was assassinated by a Serbian terrorist group in 1914. This was deemed one of the main purposes that WWI started but in reality, it was beyond that. Each leaders view made sense however for the most part only to them. For instance, French leader, George Clemenceau’s view was mainly to seek revenge on Germany, he wanted to make sure that they would never invade France again. Clemenceau had an overwhelming hatred for Germany and in laymen’s terms he wanted Germany to pay and pay largely with large reparation. Clemenceau thought that Germany and German “Intellectuals” were liars, and crazy to think that they could be trusted. He suggested that Germany’s destiny was to have “Universal domination” and that Germany would exercise violence on all Nations for the betterment of Germany. (Document Two) He referred to the Der Tag, stating that a statesman wrote to General Von Falkenhayn that “If a way was found of entirely wiping out the whole of London it would be more humane to employ it than to allow the blood of a single German Soldier to be shed on the battlefield” (Document two) a clear an imminent statement that Germany would indeed take out France again if necessary. This statement would furthermore concur with Clemenceau’s reasoning for not trusting the Germans, and it gave merit to his hatred toward them, however his view would eventually lead to only more tension with Germany reducing the likeliness of any peace …show more content…

Lenin, and Mussolini were all dictators that controlled their countries. V.I. Lenin fought for power an achieved it, he lead a Communist country. Mussolini introduced Fascism to Italy, used propagandas to influence people and to gain a following. He also used force if necessary to secure his power. Hitler introduced Nazism and promoted racism to gain security of Germany and he used force against the Jews.
