Artemis the goddess of hunting, wilderness, and childbirth was the daughter of Zeus, and the Titaness Leto. Artemis just wanted to soulfully protect and nurture. In fact up until marriage she known for protecting girls and her twin brother, Apollo protected boys. But the two gods together were very dangerous because they brought sudden death and disease to young children. Artemis targeted young girls and woman and Apollo looked upon the young boys and the men. She was portrayed to look as a young maiden with a bow and arrow. But then again she was also equipped with a hunting spear, a torch, and lyre. But by any means she wasn’t evil.
When Artemis was born it was more so complicated than easy it’s supposed to be for a titan goddess such as her mother. This was because a goddess named Hera was married to Zeus; Leto was pregnant with Artemis and Apollo, and Hera followed Leto because she was extremely jealous that Leto was with child. But eventually Leto found a Refuge that her and her midwife used to get away to go to the floating island called Delos to give birth to the lovely Artemis and Apollo. The myth about how they met was, they were both hunting when Orion saw a beautiful maiden hunting with the finest pack of hounds he’d ever seen. They ended up hunting together when both of their packs picked up a scent. When they had finally killed what they were hunting for, Orion soon realized it was the goddess Artemis.
