In the past I spent time in the US Air Force as an aircraft maintenance technician. This position allowed me to see not only various areas in the United States but also other countries. Time spent overseas immersed in other cultures has enhanced my world view. In addition, I have gained a great deal of leadership experience from the military. From serving as an Airman Leader to holding multiple leadership positions in the Air Force Reserve Officer’s Training Corps, I have ultimately gained a better understanding of what goes into leading and what truly makes a great leader.
I’ve been baptized in military aviation and I have an invaluable amount of insight to give back to the Army. My leadership philosophy is one driven by emotion. I want to be the leader that makes people feel. I want them to feel as though we are all part of a family and that they are cared about.
