Furthermore, with celebrity culture becoming more prominent, an actor should train as much as possible in order to still give themselves a fair chance in auditioning for productions and films. The present training method has been used since the twentieth century and those methods and teachings are still being taught in present day productions, thus suggesting that it is an extensive and crucial part of an actor’s career, Alison Hodge states in her book, Actor Training, that ‘’many of the systems, methods and protocols that were developed throughout the twentieth century remain the basis of professional training in the twenty-first’’ (Alison Hodge, 2010: Preface-xvii).
