I am well equipped through my formal education and professional experience to teach both analog and digital areas of photography from black and white chemical based processes to digital input and output including Adobe Creative Suite. In addition, I am well-versed in the intricacies of numerous traditional printmaking processes, but more importantly, I have the experience of using non-toxic printmaking techniques such as water based printing inks and copper plate etchants like ferric chloride, and by doing so, I have lectured on how to implement these techniques into the contemporary classroom. Through my duties as the Studio Arts Technician at The College of Wooster, in addition to my previous professional and academic photography experience, I have the ability to oversee all aspects of both the photography and the printmaking studios including routine chemical and equipment maintenance, enforcing safety standards set by OSHA, and the supervision of student …show more content…

I am currently organizing and teaching free weekend workshops at The College of Wooster where I share my professional experiences with students such as photographing artwork, alternative photographic and printmaking processes, and how to create and maintain an online artistic presence through website construction and social media. I also have gained valuable experience as the curator of the student art gallery and supervising the installment of the senior thesis exhibitions. Furthermore, as a graduate student, I assisted in the maintenance of the print studio, mentored international students in the photography studio, administered the undergraduate print organization, and proposed and managed a communal studio print night where undergraduates could come assist me with printing and vice versa. I am committed to the institutions where I teach and I believe in keeping academic course work relevant to contemporary trends in the arts and listening to peers to create
