In Ender’s Game, the theme of “adults having strange attitudes toward children” is quite prevalent in a multitude of differing ways from drastic underestimation to overt pressurization. This theme is strongly perpetuated throughout the book especially with how the Battle / Command school handle children that most are pre-pubescent and are being charged with soon leading full armies. This theme is a consistently perpetuated one not only in cinema & literature, but in daily living. Children are very much capable of adult things to potentially scary proportions, either physically or mentally but that mentality does greatly differ.
