Oscar is a twelve year old student with autism in seventh grade at Marcy Open School. He receives extra academic and social support at an Autism Spectrum Disorder resource room. The behavior I will focus on for this data collection is anytime Oscar displays being off task. It is very common for a child with Autism to have outburst frequently; therefore, it is important to know how to control the situation. Then her teacher allowed Daisy time and space to calm down. Daisy’s teacher gave her support at recess by allowing her a quiet, “safe” environment and a special way of “connecting” with other kids through a popular common interest, Buster. These interventions may complement behavior analytic treatment by enhancing children's skills or reducing maladaptive behaviors that hinder children's progress, such as aggression or stereotypes (Smith & Antolovich, 2000). The researchers try to limit the use of this treatment that by turning their limited resources into interventions that can be harmful or not very effective (Smith & Antolovich, 2000).

Nathaniel appeared somewhat slim. His additional concern was about not consuming adequate meal to sustain his health. By making a stress free environment, the children will want to practice and play the sport more often. When making a class, “one constructive physical habit to introduce and nurture in children with ASD is swimming and organized swim lessons, which will have multiple benefits for them” (Altenbach-Brennan).
