With the two groups of ideas being connected to one another, as well as those two groups being connected to the Aztec that still leaves a gap. How do these two groups connect to one another through the Aztec? To answer this, it is once more important to look at the Aztec mythology and people. The ideas of Center and Sacred Place are connected to Regeneration of Time and Calendrical Rites through Aztec Mythology, with a very clear point being the creation of the world. The Center and Sacred place of Teotihuacan with its twin pyramids are directly linked to the reasons for calendric rites and regeneration of time. The rituals of the Aztec which go along with the cycles of their calendric system happen at these physical locations, great sacrifices must be made by an Aztec Priest on a certain day and a certain location in order to help along the gods. Thus the two ideas work in conjunction with one another, people react to the meaning given to a time via the calendar combinations and gather around these places where it all meets so they can offer up their sacrifices in the most direct way. This can be further seen when Karl Taube says “An even greater sacrifice occurs at Teotihuacan, where the gods slay themselves so that the sun can follow its course. In their own acts of bloodletting and sacrifice, humans are simple following a tradition set down by the gods at the time of creation.” (Aztec and Maya Myths, page 50.) ; this clearly demonstrates the connection between a sacred central place such as Teotihuacan and the ritual tradition that the Aztecs perform in order to keep the world
