Western Washington has a diverse and well trained group of writing centers. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Central Washington University, Highline Community College, Shoreline Community College, Tacoma Community College and University of Washington Bothell . The goal was to find out what the writing centers are using for training, and how the centers operated. The four centers I visited, and the one center I interviewed, were extremely welcoming and have a diverse variety of extensive training programs. Observations of these writing centers enlightened me with an overwhelming amount of information.
During that time I got involved with research and started working at the childcare center as a counselor. I truly enjoyed working with children helping them to learn new skills, planning different activities, motivating and engaging them. I found that experience incredibly enjoyable and rewarding and decided to further explore the studies of psychology and child development in
During my time at placement I was given the role of a Nursery Assistant; My duties were to plan and prepare activities for children, read stories, nappy change them, observe and make notes for use in their reports. I was also a key worker for one child, I had to monitor their progress and share information about their development with their parents and carers. The setting was a warm and welcoming environment, I found that all of the staff were very friendly and reassuring. The placement lasted for four weeks and I worked from Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 5:30PM. On my first day I arrived at 10AM for my induction and was introduced by the manager of the setting to the other members of staff.
Tawney Nodland – As I look back over the past semester of English Composition, I realize that I have grown as a writer. Not onlyhas my understanding of the writing process changed, my whole attitude towards composition has too. This composition course has made a significant impact on my learning experience and has given me tools to take forward into my future educational and professional goals. Throughout this course, I have discovered things about myself as a writer and know some of my strengths and weaknesses. I now feel more prepared for future writing assignments, whether for work or for school.
My current position in the school as an Assistant Teacher. Basically, I assist, every subject that my class teacher wants me to assist. Most of my time, a particular subject that I frequently ask to assist is Mathematics. It is one of the core subjects in the school syllabus. The subject, which is Mathematics, was to transcend pupils understanding of mathematical concepts, by moving on towards mastery level in enabling pupils to achieve confidence and fluency in mathematics.
I completed my service at Mercy Care in their Child care facility, located in Wembly. I participated in a variety of activities with the younger kids who ranged from 18 months to 2 years. We participated in many interactive games and activities with the kids and also helped put them to sleep during nap time. Some of the kids were more difficult to put to sleep then others, they required more care and calming techniques. Our aim was to lighten the workers load as the facility is understaffed.
The one job description that I think fits my interest the most would be a writer. I enjoy writing and I feel like I am pretty good at it. The job suggestion that surprised me was the option to be a teacher. I have never thought about being a teacher and I definatley wouldn't enjoy that career.

I have had the pleasure of volunteering at the BMES expo on October 7th and 9th, 2015 for University of South Florida (booth #922-924) at Tampa Conventional Centre, Tampa, Florida. I wanted to volunteer because I was keen to find out about the research people are conducting in the market and other universities and to talk to aspiring students to inspire them to do research in the Biomedical engineering field. On the first day we just had to set up the booth and to learn how the thing were supposed to be kept and how to make other people feel welcoming, but on the 9th I got to talk to many other people about the research that our professors are performing at the university and got to know about their expectations and about some other people about the research they are doing and what they expect from our university.
