Bad Father In The Film Royal Tenebaum

In the film, Royal Tenebaum and his wife had 3 genius children, two boys and one adopted girl. Their names were: Chas, Richie and Margot. Royal was a very strange and bad father from my point of view. He didn’t really understand what he had to do as a father. He hurt his children’s feelings very often. It didn’t take long for this situation to change for the worse. Royal just left them. You can’t call somebody like him a “Father”. He was just a selfish man, who didn’t really know what to do in life.
Royal couldn’t realize what a terrible mistake he has made; until somebody fell in love with his now ex-wife, Etheline, and they began to date. The thought that he could lose his family forever really crushed him. He went to Etheline and told her …show more content…

The foolish actions that he’d made have changed these kids’ life. He wasn’t there for them when they needed him the most. I’m sure that he has thought about his children during the years when he was absent from their lives, but just thinking doesn’t help. A father has his responsibilities and he ran away from them. Maybe he wasn’t the best father in the world, but from the moment he left them, he stopped being their father.
This happens in real life a lot. “Fathers” think that they can just walk out of your life, but it’s not that simple. They will never be able to run away far enough from their children. Children are the future even if you run away from them. You will cross the paths with them eventually. You will miss them and try to get back in their lives, but it will be too late. Even if you leave a newborn baby and never come back, you will never be able to get rid of the horrible blame that will follow you for the rest of your life.
The film shows us how much the children’s lives have changed after their father left them. If you look at them as kids, you would never thought that they would end up like this. Margot became a smoker since 12 and she married a man she never loved. Chas went from an incredible child genius to a scaremonger. He was really concerned about his children’s safety after his wife’s death. Royal missed the most difficult and important time for his
