The ways that Mormons are different from Baptist is that they have their own version of the bible called the Book of Mormon. The church leader who work full time are not paid by the church and volunteer their time. The adult Mormons average over 242 hours in volunteer time compared to an average of 126 hours of other religions (JOHNSON, K. A., COHEN, A. B., & OKUN, M. A. 2013). The religion was founded by Joseph Smith in the 1800’s. They refer to themselves as Latter Day Saints Church. The similarities each religion falls under the Christianity. Each one of these religions believe in God. Both believe that Jesus Christ was a human when he died for our sins. This helps them develop similarities that include salvation for anyone that gives their live to God.
