We could even spilt it up a bit and segment the girls into two categories. One would be for the younger elementary girls and then one for the older middle schoolers. Another segmentation of my online store would be relating to the customers behavior. For example, around the holiday season we would sell more clothes that are red and green. After we have figured out how we would like to segment the market we need to figure out how to target them and who. Since Barefoot & Beautiful is only online we would use niche marketing. We would choose one marketing segment and focus on drawing them to our store. When having a new brand, it is very important to have a name that is catchy, easy to read/write and easy to remember. It should also go with what you are trying to sell. With Barefoot & Beautiful it gives an image of young, carefree children and beautiful gives the image that we sell nice clothes. We also want to have the image that we sell good quality clothes so it is important in that our website shows the customers that we only sell the best fabrics out there for their children. By having good, speedy service can also show the customer that we care and that we have the best products. Price also shows what the quality of the product will be. If it is a higher price is it more likely that it will be a higher quality product. We also understand that price can be a big factor in the customer’s decision whether or not to buy from us. But like I said before, the more you pay the more you will get from your product. At Barefoot & Beautiful we are an eco-friendly store, therefore we sell fabrics that are not harmful to the environment or to the person wearing them, because of this our clothes will run a little more on the expensive side, but nothing outrageous.
