Hello my name is Kevin Okamura, throughout these past days I have studied information about abortion that I would like to share with you. Who thinks murder is wrong? Abortion has always been a topic that has been controversial, it has been a topic talked amongst the young and old; it has also been a topic talked about in the political world. Before I begin my speech I would like to get into the definition of abortion. The definition of abortion by the dictionary is “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy”.
Abortion is often related to murder because the fetus has no say in the determination of his or her life. Many believe that once the Sperm fertilizes the egg it should be the responsibility of the individuals who brought this fetus into this world. During the 2012 presidential race Abortion played a big issue in the campaigns. During this election 73% of the people who said that abortion should be illegal put this topic as one of the most important topics (The Complicated Politics of Abortion). Why would abortion be placed as an unimportant subject? Who would want an anti life president running our country?
Not only is abortion a controversial topic but why would you not be prolife? Why would you ever support the killing of innocent alive children? The most likely answer is that you would not, unless you are crazy and need mental help.
