A hero is a person, typically a man, who is loved for courage, outstanding qualities and great achievements. Beowulf displays many characteristics, but he mainly displays strength, bravery, and selflessness. Beowulf ‘s fanatic future's got him through horrifying battles and never got him to give up. Batman has never given up on Gotham city, even when he felt weak or even when other superheroes did not believe in him. Beowulf and Batman are heroes that are very flexible with things and they share the same characteristics.
According to Gould, the 1960s television show Batman was an unexpected cultural revolution because for children watching television in the 60s, the Batman TV series was a joyfully relaxing exercise for them. Also, this became a comedy classic and it was a cultural phenomenon in the 1960s. The Batman TV series was famous because this series has humor and a colorful cast of villains. As well, Batman have some aspect of popular culture, that he represents the reflection of society making him a superhero. In addition, Batman in the society wants to do justice on a bad attitude committed.
Christopher Columbus Is Columbus really the man we think he is? Columbus is a well known figure for he discovered America and led other explorers and conquistadors there too. He has impacted history greatly and is argued to be either a positive or negative person. He may be skilled and courageous, but he’s actually a bad guy inside. Columbus is a villain due to how he planned to use the natives, and how conceited and harsh the Spanish were.
Napoleon is viewed in many different ways between different people. Many ask themselves if he was a villain or a hero, was he beneficial for the people, and did he cause the downfall of France. When you ask yourself these questions, you will come up with your own answer but many others will disagree with you. Napoleon is a true villain and despite the fact that he was a good leader for the military because he caused more negative than positive things to happen to France. The first problem he caused was becoming a dictator, the second was making many surrounding countries turn against him and lastly, he didn’t care about his people like a leader should.
Keanu Reeves can be compared to Batman because they both help others because they have experienced the same events. Batman fights crime for Gotham because his parents were killed by a criminal. While Keanu donates his money to cancer research because his sister has battled leukemia for over ten years. Bruce Wayne uses Batman to hide who he is and that he is actually the one who is saving Gotham. Similarly, Keanu never attaches his name to any donations he makes to the organizations to keep from being the attention seeker.
They all have lost their respect for others due to arrogance, making them villains. A villain is someone that is so full of him or herself that they forget to keep the integrity of another
Batman is one of the most iconic superheroes in the world of fiction, and his story has inspired countless interpretations across various media. In the novel Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu, we see the Caped Crusader in his early years as a crime-fighter. Through his encounters with a dangerous criminal known as the Nightwalker, we see various hero archetypes that show a sense of purpose in Batman's actions. From early on Napoleon was revered for his immense military prowess, admired for ending the destructive French Revolution. Although Napoleon was a triumphant commander early in his career, his following failures greatly detracted from his initial success. Other than military victories, success can be defined as achieving one’s goals; Napoleon’s main focus was power. Napoleon was extremely hungry for power, ambitiously elevating his position from a soldier to the Emperor of France, a position he created for himself. Napoleon successfully overthrew the dictatorial Directory in 1799, preventing France from falling prey to corrupt leadership.
During the Elizabethan Era Religion was taken very seriously: ”Most people in England were very adamant about what they believed in whether it be Protestant, Catholic, Puritan, or even Atheist”(Lace 45). Although some people didn't believe in a God at all, those who did, especially catholics, based everything in their life off of their religion. Protestants were known for preaching complete separation of church and state which they never received: “The reigning Monarchs dictated the 'favored' religion” (“Religion in Elizabethan England”). Failing to adhere to the favored religion could lead to imprisonment, torture, and possibly death from your own goverment and your neighbors. Being bias is familiar to everyone. Everybody has heard, “well, Superman is better than Batman because he has laser vision,” or, “Despite being a girl, Jeanine is excellent in sports.” Both of these are examples of Bias opinions. Just because Superman has laser vision, it does not mean that he is any better than Batman, or Because Jeanine is a girl, it does not mean she can’t beat a boy at sports. We need to strive not to use Bias language when talking or writing.
Batman vs Superman For my compare and contrast paragraph I chose Batman vs Superman. Batman and Superman are alike in a lot of ways but there some differences. There are both alike because they are both super heroes, both from DC, and both are good at what they do. Batman in different from Superman is that Batman can’t fly and Superman can fly because his powers. Another thing is that Batman fights in Gotham the most crime ridden city.
Batman’s assumption of his duty to his community represents the American mindset of it duties to its own communities. This idea of putting community before anything is a worrying thought. Why does Batman do it? He does it to make sure order, justice, and understanding are number one in his community. Batman brings awareness to “Letter from Birmingham Jail” by Dr. Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. and Nathaniel Hawthorne’s , “Dr. Heidegger’s Experiment” American spirit of having a duty to communities.
Batman versus Joker. Harry Potter versus Voldemort. Darth Vader versus Luke Skywalker. Superman versus Lex Luthor. These are all classic hero versus villain matchups where everyone roots for the brave, selfless hero and despises the up-to-no-good, destructive villain.
The villains that he faces, eventually come back again trying to cause a great deal of turmoil for Gotham city. Batman’s moral code on not killing is pointless,
