He has had more than fifty greatly acknowledged records and has won many Grammy Awards. His music is so great that he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. BB King is one of the most famous musicians from Mississippi and has created some of the most appreciated blues music in America. B.B. King was born in Itta Bena, Mississippi on September 16, 1925. He is known to be the “best-known blues performer.”(A&E Television Networks 3) When he went to church every weekend, the band played during mass. When the band played, he liked to hear them and thought they sounded good. Since he heard them sing and play, he liked it and thought it was a good career to go into. BB King sometimes even sang with them when he wanted. After that happened he dropped out of school so that he could focus on his music career. When BB King had a music career, he had as many as 45 studio albums that he made and more than 75 great influential hits. “B.B. Had become the most renowned blues musician of the past 40 years.”(Interscope Records) BB King was such a big influence to many people.
