Chino Hills High ASB is a well-recognized organization not only by students and staff at CHHS, but by programs like the California Association of Student Leaders. A select group of students from Chino Hills High ASB attended a conference put on by CASL, and for the past 11 years Chino Hills High ASB has won the Outstanding Leadership Program Award. The group of students who accepted this award on behalf of the CHHS Leadership program were Caleb Andrews, Bradley Mautz, Adam Cullen, Tessa Grotz, Mitchell Matthews, Josh Stroup, Alex Ro, Tanner Schroder, Audrey Johnstone, and Gullian Dyker. At the conference this year, Adam Cullen, the ASB President for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year, was elected to be on the board for the California Association of Student Leaders as a Southern Director.
I will begin including you on email requirements we 're getting from either the 4th BDE (Army) and our DIA office. We are getting overwhelmed with additional duties from all three directions. One Example: Yesterday, SGM Maine was task to proctor during her class period without prior coordination. Although, I didn 't have an issue covering the class, there were no consideration for my planning and or lunch period.
Therefore, I should look to other too in the fields that I would want to go into and get firsthand knowledge from them. People around me have a lot of knowledge to pass on if I simply ask and man of them are willing and want to help younger students learn. Overall the experience was very eye opening and I plan to do more in the
During Fall Camp, I learned how to find the strengths of my teammates and help with their weaknesses. My team’s senior members had strong leadership, and their acts taught me how to organize people into one team. For example, when we played games at the beach, they didn’t put pressure on lower graders, but they suggested effective plans based on each member’s strengths about how to make a good score. We didn’t hesitate to talk about each other’s strong points or things he has done very well. Because of this, each person gained self-confidence, and it made us easier to play at our best.
The most significant lessons that I have learned so far in life were through my basketball and flag football career. Having to work with a group of people to win games and be successful, greatly put into perspective how and why teamwork is so important. Without teamwork, success is greatly limited. This is why on my team I always make that "extra pass" to involve my teammates and make sure that I hold myself accountable for doing my part. We all need to be included as a team to work together and hold ourselves accountable to giving our one-hundred percent as a team to expound on success.
In my 6 years at Club, I have taken up a huge interest in advocating and listening to others point of views. I am extremely passionate about making other members Club experience as positive and life changing as possible. I think becoming a leader at Club has been a huge eye opener and has truly made me realize you have no idea what others are going through. Everyone walks in through the Club doors to the same environment, but the truth is, everyone leaves to a different home life and takes on different responsibilities. I want to make everyone feel comfortable and loved when they walk through those doors.
One of the many benefits of the middle school model is that being part of a team forms a bond between the teachers and students. “The team and their students truly become a community of learners.” (Kellough & Kellough, 2008, pg 8) In order for a team to be successful teams must provide tools to help students grow. (Erb, T. O, 2006, pg 5)
Teamwork is important as a leader because you are responsible
I know that when a task needs to be done, it is best to take care of it as it appears, and not to let time be my solution to problems. I know that a team needs to work as a team, and in a team, everyone is only as good as the worst among them. I know that there is a deeper meaning to the word 'leader' than I previously thought; it is not someone that sets an example and simply teaches a specific set of techniques to their teammates; a leader is someone who helps others on their way to become better leaders, thinkers, and problem solvers themselves. And finally, I know that if there is anybody who sets their mind to a task and does not allow others to bring them down, they can accomplish what they need to in order to be successful. My very last marching season was my greatest challenge, and it tested my patience and willingness to take myself and others to new levels of achievement, and even though I have experienced a failure then, the lessons I learned from it will benefit me in the long run, when I run into the same kinds of situations and the same kinds of
As a leader, people always look up to you and expect you to guide them and that’s exactly what I did. I paved the way for my group, and made sure that everybody was on the same page in the group, and with our community partner. Tanya and Todd wanted a leader and someone who is able to get things done to volunteer and also spread awareness, and I
My teachers at school have also helped me improve within this category because they help me work
Therefore, I learned a lot from my experience and I feel confident that I will be able to apply my skills to my personal life, academic journey and professional
Introduction Team leadership encompasses many things. It may seem like a simple and small task, but in a real sense, it is complex and comes with responsibilities, and commonly, it determines the success of any team or a group. However, the value of teamwork should not be overemphasized considering that all organizations need individuals and personnel who are willing to share ideas, listen to others and contribute to the problem solving of any given group or a company. Team leaders should have the ability, authority, and power to analyze data and information with a team of people with a common aim and objective as well as issues. The leader should understand the dynamic patterns, the connections and relations between paramount factors in these objectives, aims and issues that help in the analysis process.
Teamwork is a core foundation in modern life today, and is a requirement in all jobs that we carry out today. However, here at Smithville teamwork is not really inspired, and is sorely lacking in some people 's opinions. We focus more on the individual than the group here when it comes to regular school activities, and some coaches on our teams have said that our teamwork is horrible in the grand scheme of things. Although we do right by the individual and we place almost all of our focus on that, teamwork is arguably more important than a portion of that individual. We should have more teamwork in our school, and we deserve for it to be improved.
There was one quote that stood out to me about how team work is essential for success. ‘Teamwork is so important that it is virtually impossible for you to reach the heights of your capabilities or make the money that you want without becoming very good at it.’ (Brian Tracy, no date) after assessing the claimed benefits of team and this quote I am more open and understanding that team work can be advantageous toward me in my career development. During this first semester, I
