Before coming to Full Sail University, I had encountered many obstacles. One in particular placed so much doubt inside my mind and made me question if this was what I truly wanted to do, or who I wanted to become. Should I leave my family that is grieving over our loved one or do I follow my dreams that my grandmother wanted me to do? This was the hardest decision of my life, and I was torn in two each day that passed I know that both of you have doubts about this career choice, because you don’t see what it does and can do for me. What I’ve faced is similar to her, yet different as well this female artist started at the bottom and slowly worked her way to the top.
I have personally created works of art for my family members and seeing their reactions to my piece have given me a new found confidence. Having them show up to my plays and knowing that what I was doing was important made me feel self worth. I remember creating abstract art in elementary school and my mom was so proud of my work that she hung it up for everyone to see. It made me start thinking of professions that I would like to obtain and branched my love of education. I thank the arts for the person I have become and would love to see it’s continuation in education for future
Pros: 1.A large portion of the hunting fund is zoned for wildlife conservation and research institutions to maintain their work. While hunting, it also contributed to economic development and wildlife conservation. Evidences: In the United States, there is a large number of forest managers who monitors in hunting practices, whose funding is the cost of hunting licences. Data shows that in the United States Montana State, wildlife protection funding of 90% from the sale of hunting license proceeds (Jian,2016) According to Montana Hunter’ Ed courses, “hunters provide almost $86 million a year for conservation through this tax—over $2 billion since 1937! It is the single biggest source of money collected nationally for wildlife.”
My educational goals, for the art program at rowan, is to learn how to draw more realistic, I already draw realistic but I want to study how to make my drawings more photo realistic, and i want to learn how to draw to scale. I have some experience in acrylics but I want to learn how to paint better using acrylics, and learn how to paint in oil paint. I also would like to learn how to sculpt objects.
¨Antisocial behavior is learned and sustained by this positive and negative reinforcement (e.g., social attention, avoidance) children receive from social agents parents in particular¨ (Dumas, 1996,p.172) This quote is from Jane E Dumas and it brings me to my topic. When I am older I want to go to college to be a child therapist. A child therapist is a person who talks through mental health and provides therapy for children. They evaluate cognitive and behavioral issues in adolescents.
P.T.A Application Personal Essay “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” This is a quote by Mahatma Gandhi that I hold very close to my heart and my beliefs. I love helping others no matter how small or daunting the task. Seeing others benefit from my help is truly rewarding, and provides me with the ultimate feeling of success and happiness. In addition to my overwhelming passion for helping others, becoming further educated is something I believe to be crucial in living a accomplished life.
Physical Therapy Assistant is an interesting field; it is a job that helps individuals in need. I interviewed Lucero because she is currently working in the same field that I see myself working in the future. The interview took place on November 29th; it lasted an hour and a half. The interview was about me trying to understand more about my future life as a physical therapist assistant. The purpose of this interview was for me to envision if this is the profession that I want for myself, in the future.
I collaborated with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physiotherapists to provide early intervention care and support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities. I continued working similarly with children in a school as a counselor for four years. I learned about the challenges students face in a mainstream setup that puts emphasis on curriculum based general learning. The students coming to me would actively seek skilled based activities and loved art based tools in their sessions. To enhance my skills and have working tools that included art, I pursued a diploma in Arts Based Therapy.
In philosophy it is used to focus on the individual’s conscious, perceptual and intellectual processes, excluding preconceptions and the idea of external consequences (Gregory, 1987). Phenomenology is a philosophical method aimed at getting at the truth - it aims to achieve clarity of insight and thought while including the subject. It makes a distinction between appearance and essence. It is a very appropriate philosophical method to apply to the theory and practice of art therapy. (Carpendale, 2003)
“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything” (Plato). If my childhood was filled with anything: it was imagination. From my earliest memories of my cousin, and I putting on a sold out concert on my papaw’s front porch; to putting my baby dolls to sleep with lullabies. Music has always been a big part of my life: it was the one thing I could always count on, no matter where I went; and that still stands true today.
Going forward a liberal arts education will be key for me to attain my goals. Specifically a Hollins liberal arts education. I am interested in pursuing pre-law, creative writing, art, and equine studies. At a typical technical based studies program I would be unable to study and learn what I 'm passionate about. It has been said that if you choose a job you love you will never have to work another day, and I fully intend to live my life with zeal doing what I love and am truly passionate about, and a liberal arts education will help me achieve that.
Essay #1 It seems like yesterday when I was in high school trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my future. When I thought about the career I would want to pursue I was having trouble picturing myself in the type of work I would be most satisfied in. Around this same time, I suffered a sports injury and had to receive physical therapy in order to heal. This is what initially got me interested in working in rehab.

Eileen Miller said that “Art can permeate the very deepest part of us, where no words exist.” Every person experiences emotion, and for some people these emotions are more prominent than they are for others. A great deal of those emotions are negative and make a person’s day to day life difficult to manage. Art is a beneficial form of stress relief and self-expression for several individuals. Research has shown that art therapy is a reliable and valid therapeutic treatment that reduces depression, improves social anxiety, and assists in treating individuals with many types of phobias.
They think studying liberal arts is a future of unemployment and uncertainty. But, it is important to override these belief because of the large opportunity for art majors in the world. My experiences as a child, influences, and mentors have inspired me to study art history at Belmont and I want to share my experiences and knowledge of my process. What drives you to study art and pursue a career in this impressive field?
