Many people may choose their careers goals based on past experiences, lifelong interests, or to follow in her or his parents ' footsteps. On the other hand, my long-term career goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon, because I would like to help others in need and be there for my parents if any bone fracture occurs. On average in the United States, six million people break their bones each year. Meaning those orthopedic surgeons are in high demand due to the fact that broken bones are a common injury. Becoming an orthopedic surgeon is not my only long term goal, but to also open a dog rescue program for stray or hurt dogs.
