Bed Bath & Beyond has many strengths that make their company stand out from the competitors. Bed Bath & Beyond has strong brand awareness and multiple partnerships, which distinguish them from their competition. Bed Bath & Beyond is a strong, well-established brand that many people have been familiar with since their opening in 1971 (Bed Bath & Beyond, 2017a). They are innovative and are able to target multiple demographics and attract as many customers as possible (Trefis Team, 2015). Due to their large variety of products, they are able to market to multiple customers in different social classes and backgrounds (Bed Bath & Beyond, 2017a). Bed Bath & Beyond advertises their products in contemporary ways, such as extending their advertising to social media to reach new demographics (Reese, 2017). As far as their partnership with Good360, Bed Bath & Beyond has, “...donated on a weekly basis from our stores to hundreds of local charities across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico” (Corporate Responsibility, 2016). The merchandise donated helps many people in many different ways from devastation victims to youth in low income situations (Corporate Responsibility, 2016). Furthermore, buybuyBABY has also merged with Good360 and Bed Bath & Beyond which has resulted in them being even more successful. “For fiscal year 2014, we estimate the fair value of our product donations to have been more than $176 million. To date, we estimate we have provided more than $1.2 billion in product donations to our local communities” (Corporate Responsibility, 2016). These partnerships have been very beneficial to Bed Bath & Beyond because they provide them an opportunity to give back to the community and help many charities that are helping many, many other people that Bed Bath & Beyond might not be able to help
