Many people consider a job in the medical field most likely because it is widely accepted that if you are a doctor then you are rich. What turns most people away is the eight years of college and a lifetime of loans to pay off. When I was younger, I always wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon, but in fourth grade when you hear, you will have to go to four more years on top of the twelve you have left, your hopes are probably going to die down. I haven’t really thought about a job in the medical field until this year when I went to an orthopedic walk-in for an x-ray. Being a physician’s assistant is the solution to your worries about eight years of college. Soon enough medical offices will be hiring fewer physicians and more PAs. PA’s are cost effective for both offices and your insurance company (“Physician Assistants Encyclopedia”). They are also slowly being trained to do more advanced tasks in the workplace(“Physician Assistants Bureau”). I am finding that it is a much better decision to be a PA rather than a physician because this is a career on the rise. This is truly the right path for students who are hard workers, responsible, and passionate about medicine. The research process is not easy, but not impossible either. It is important to like the topic you chose because then you are writing this paper to learn not just for a grade. It is best to have a variety of sources because a magazine article versus a book is going to give you a formal and little less formal view. I learned that I should edit my papers the day after I have finished a rough draft because then I will not have been staring at the same words for three hours thinking they make sense. All in all, it is important to learn the research process completely, so when you are in other classes that do not give you instruction, it will be
