Being well educated is one of the most important attributes a person can possess. Education is vital for the success and advancement of our modern society. Throughout history the groups and civilizations that were well-educated for their time were the most powerful and successful. When you look at the world today, the countries that have higher education standards tend to have a better governmental system, economy, and overall health and well- being of its citizens.
Education has been in the center of my life for as long as I can remember. As I have aged, the definitions and standards of education have changed. As an infant my education included learning to speak and eat on my own. Fast forward 18 years and my education includes topics such as calculus, health science, and economics. From birth to death, humans are learning every single day, whether they realize it or not. My freshman year was the first time in my life I ever had to study. I was faced with the choice to either be a lackadaisical student who scraped by with C’s, or I could put in the work to remain an “A” student.
