The Life and Works of Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin is one of the most important men in America’s history. Ben was one of the leading figures back in early America’s history. Ben was born in Boston, Massachusetts in the year of 1706. Ben’s brother, James Franklin, started a printing business when Ben was just fifteen years old called The New England Current, which was located in Boston. A lot of people had respect for Ben because of his mature manner, and his respect he had for others. Ben has only just started his journey to becoming one of the most leading figures in American history, but not only America’s history, the world's history.

His name recognition started to grow more and more. When Ben’s involvement in politics increased, he became willing to learn more about his country, which at the time was England. Ben wanted to declare independence from England because England was taxing all their goods and the people felt that they were not being represented. Ben was the only founding father to have signed all four documents that instituted the United States of America. The documents were the Declaration of Independence, the Treaty of Alliance with France, Treaty of Paris, and the United States Constitution. In fact, Ben Franklin was the oldest delegate who attended the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Independence Hall. Ben, who was also a politician, was also a “statesman, author, publisher, scientist, inventor, and a diplomat.” Ben was not all about the politics, he also had a growing interest in science. Little did the world know that Ben would discover something new, bold, and brilliant. Ben discovered that lightning was the same thing as electricity.
