Entering a male-dominated industry is complex for women because it is difficult for them to stay true to themselves while being respected by the men who are already controlling it. A significant contributor to this problem is how the media talks about women. The challenge female artist faces is trying to please the media. “The perception of women is highly stereotypical, sexualized and without skill.
