Passion: a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm or desire for anything. I have a passion for volleyball and this past season has been my favorite by far. I could be playing my very last game of the season tonight if we don’t win. My team is the best we’ve been in a long time and I’m not ready to stop playing, knowing I may never get the chance to be on a team as good as we are now. Tonight we play in districts, and it could either end very well or very bad. As I go throughout my day I’m feeling great, confident in my team’s abilities for the big game. In all my classes I daydream about how exciting tonight’s going to be. People pass me in the halls and tell me good luck and that they’ll be there cheering us on tonight, I express my gratitude and flash them a smile. …show more content…
I think about everything that could possibly go wrong tonight and how I could be the one to cost my team the win. I think about how if I don’t do good then I could be done until next year. After, a few minutes of focusing on the bad I force myself to think positively and not dwell on the negatives. The rest of the bus ride is filled with music, dancing and laughter from my teammates and I. When we arrive at the gym we walk in with our game faces on, not showing any emotion to the other team. Coach leads us to the locker room and we all sit around in a circle waiting for him to give us words of wisdom that would magically help us throughout our game, like they always do. He encourages us to do our best and have fun with the game. He truly believes in us and that gives my team the last push we need before we go out and play the biggest game of the season. Slowly, we all stand and gather in a circle. Everyone puts their hands in the middle of the circle and yells “Team” on the count of
