Storytelling is generally considered to be one of the characteristic features of the human race. The important point to note is that the stories that are passed from one generation to another often feature prominent individuals. In the ancient times, they were heroes and kings, but even today it is possible to find that individual who are worth of being placed in the hall of fame. What is even more important is that each nation has its own set of great people. However, few are aware that his struggle for success began early in the childhood. Thus, when the computers were generally seen as some extraordinary machines, Gates was fascinated with them; that is why he spend all his free time learning programming languages, editing source code. In addition to that, he also did extremely well at his studies. Bill Gates is known to have scored 1590 out of 1600 on SAT. Obviously, this resulted could not have been achieved if it had not been for hard work. When Gates decided to found a company he did not want to be a founder of paper only. He recalls that in the first several years of Microsoft he had to "review every line of code and interview every person" (Bank 33). Therefore, it is obvious that he made a great contribution to the company that made him famous. Years passed, and so Gates assumed new roles in the company. He served as the chairman, the CEO, the product architect, and the chief strategist of the company.
