National Junior Honor Society is the start of everything. This group helps set me up for my years to come. Being in the NJHS it helps me get into the one in high school, which looks really good one college applications. Having national junior honor society for both middle school and high school would give me a better chance to get into a college I really want to get into. I’ve always wanted to be someone who could help or make a change in this world, instead of just trying to get through life easy.
I absolutely love the science aspect of it and I just have a passion in my heart that it's telling me this is it. At the end of middle school and high school, I volunteered at 3 different departments of 3 different Elliot Hospitals. I wanted to get a feel of being in the hospital and I wanted to imagine if I could see myself in the medical field for the next 10 years.
Please identify your chosen major and explain why you chose this field? * When I first entered college, I didn’t know what I wanted my career to be. Although after completing a psychology course with Dr. Francine Rosselli-Navarra, I was greatly influenced to realize I didn’t just want to study biology, but also psychology. She had taught me that psychology is a science that studies thoughts and behavior, so when I combined biology and psychology, I discovered the major of Neuroscience. Therefore, when transferring, I found that the University of Arizona had an excellent program that would assist me in achieving my educational endeavors in Neuroscience.
This career interests me the most because it is the perfect path for me to have the chance to do something I am passionate about while having the ability to share that same feeling with others as well.
I have wanted to go into the health care field for as long as I can remember. My mom is a register nurse and I always wanted to be just like her. It always fascinated me learning about the body and how it works. I love to help people, love getting to do something new everyday, and I love a fast paced environment. Making a difference in people 's lives makes a person feel so good and being a nurse I could do that everyday!
I want to be part of such a rewarding career. I feel that the subjects I have studied have provided me with a good foundation of skills and knowledge that I will use on a daily basis as Occupational therapist. In Biology I learned about the human body on a physical level. I found learning how the body works to be fascinating and I look forward to expanding my knowledge even more with this course.
Biomedical engineers do anything on a range from designing artificial internal organs, to present their research findings to other scientists,
I am thinking of majoring in communication disorders, and I plan on going to graduate school to become a speech pathologist. This career field interests me a lot. I like the variety and creativity involved with it. I used to go to speech when I was younger, and that is what interests me in being a speech therapist so much.
I have chosen public health as my major because it is a dynamic field. I have a passion for making a difference in people’s lives and helping others achieve their goals. It is with great passion that I am dedicated and willing to contribute my service or skills to help someone in need. My philosophy of health education is very simple, to prevent, improve and educate the lives of individuals, families, communities, populations, and societies. Besides, there is no safer way to touch people’s lives than through public health.
Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to major in a science field. As a small child I was always curious about the world and how it works. In elementary school I always looked forward to science class and I remember always feeling amazed when we learned something new. My desire to get involved in the sciences was further confirmed when I took chemistry and physics.
I am passionate about science contributing to a better world, which explains my interest in medical research. My mother, as a nurse, exposed me to a broad range of diseases from an early age which definitely sparked my interest for medicine. My father, on the other hand, suffers from sarcoidosis in the lungs and a mitral valve disease; which also contributed to my interest. I am particularly intrigued by cancer research. I have known many people affected by this horrible and engrossing (for a medical scientist) disease.

The first reason is I enjoy participating and taking part in hands on activities. I like hands on activities, because I like seeing the results of the things I make and take part in. It fasinates me how I can do so much things. The other reason why I want to major in this career is because I want to learn all about this career. There is so much to learn about this career and I want to learn as much as I can about it.
If someone were to ask me what I wanted to study, I would not hesitate and quickly reply biology. A few years ago, if someone were to ask me what area I wanted to specialize, then I would be clueless and be unable to respond; however, after studying biology for several years, I can answer that I want to be involved in biomedical medical research. A semester into college level biology, and 4 years of high school biology, I can finally state that I have a strong interest in biochemistry and cellular biology. Cell Biology is the study of structure and function of the smallest unit of life, the cell, and Biochemistry, is the study of chemical processes within the cell.
I took up Life Sciences (Botany, Chemistry and Zoology) as my major during undergraduate school studies, from one of the best science college of India. I got exposed to a generalized aspect of all the major sub-fields of biology, enabling me to determine for myself the one I would like to specialize in. During the course of my undergraduate school studies, Biotechnology, Genetics and Molecular biology were the courses that appealed to me the most. I enjoyed learning through the first-hand experience gained during practical sessions much more than that through the theory classes. It led me to plan a career based upon scientific
