Establishing and building these relationships with researchers will aid in the lifelong pursuit of research and, moreover, establish a dialogue to learn about the advancements that are happening here, in Rockford, and around the world. Additionally, down the road, internship opportunities and guidance may be in play under their mentorship.

I knew that I wanted to pave the way for candid treatment and diagnosis of patients worldwide. In the process, I became intrigued with experimentation and learning to comprehensively understand the nature of Science. Indeed, my intent to pursue an education in Clinical Laboratory Science was influenced by my eagerness to learn the mechanisms that controlled cell behavior. Furthermore, I was inspired by the idea of becoming a diligent healthcare professional. My ambitious spirit led me to furthering my education and earning a Bachelor's in Biology at Dillard University.
My academic goals after I graduated from UC Irvine is to achieve a higher education beyond a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences. I have set going to dental school as a primary goal after graduating. My goal is to eventually obtain a D.D.S (Doctor of Dentist Surgery) degree. Working towards a specialty is an interest that I am very curious in pursuing; however, as of now becoming a general dentist is my main goal. Victor Frankenstein was greatly affected by a mental illness, which caused his actions and thoughts to negatively impact his whole life. Victor Frankenstein is in no way in mental shape to have sought out what he did. Victor is constantly under pressure from many stressors which affect the way his mind works, only furthering the damage done by his mental illness. Victor Frankenstein has been shown throughout the novel as being indecisive, or irrational to come up with a solution to his problems.

1. Why are you applying to live in this specialty community? Please describe how any previous activities or experiences have contributed to your interest in living in this specialty community. As a Biomedical Engineering major with an intended minor in Biology, I wish to live in the Engineering Floor in Myles Standish Hall.
The first woman president of an African country, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, once said, "The size of your dreams must always exceed your current capacity to achieve them. If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough. " While the fear of uncertainty of the future or failure may be intimidating, I have confidence that through hard work and perseverance future goals are achievable even in light of adversity. In 10 years, I will have attained bachelor, masters, and PhD degrees in biomedical engineering (BME) by 2024 and have some industry experience.
There are two engineering careers that interest me, biomedical or civil engineering. I know they may seem completely different, but due to the fact I take some classes in the engineering field, and some in the medical field, I still have not decided which way to go. A biomedical engineer creates equipment, devices, computer systems, and software used in healthcare, while a civil engineer designs, builds and supervises construction projects such as bridges, buildings, airports, and many more. A biomedical engineer focuses a lot on bringing knowledge to create, design and evaluate biomedical equipment.
I enjoy engineering, in fact when I get older I want to become a biomedical engineer. I want to be able to help people. As well as find solutions to help people in their everyday lives. So that hopefully it would make life easier and less stressful for them. I enjoy all the problem solving that comes with engineering.
