Bipolar disorder is in a class of mood disorders that is marked by dramatic changes in mood, energy, and behavior that shows its symptoms within two phases: mania and depression. The symptoms for the depression phrase are sad mood, oversleeping, and loss of self-esteem. The symptoms for the mania phrase are extreme irritability and poor judgment. Research proves that the risk factors are not limited to one source but indicates that the conditions of bipolar disorder vary due to abnormalities in communication and function of nerve cells in brain. Some factors can be the consideration of income, which is the money received from doing work. This effect on the income derives from the impact of payments for prescribed medications to treat the different phases of the disorder. The use of money (income) can also affect a person with disorder thorough one’s behavior and show some symptoms of the different phases because of the expenses on medications and other forms of treatment, this belief is with the consideration of a person’s status whereby money plays the role of things that may fuel, help, or prevent the disorder. Another factor can be social support, this aspect of determining one’s health shows a form of communication with a caretaker of some sort (i.e. family members, doctor, and friends). The act of psychotherapy is an example of social support whereby a person with a bipolar disorder seeks help from a psychologist. Now, psychotherapy divides into the specific types that fit an individual need. The specific division of psychotherapy accompanies those with the disorder and can prevent the disorder with some advice from the consultant (Mayo Clinic, 2016).
