Paul’s introduction to the book of Romans builds up an argument that the entire human race is guilty before God. The reason paul wrote the book of Romans was to share the gospel and teach the lesson that righteousness comes by faith in Jesus Christ. Paul begins his message to the Romans by explaining how mankind is very sinsinful and how , forgiveness is only available through faith in Christ. Paul tells them what new believers experience in life through their new faith. In Romans,it explain how faith play an important part of becoming a Christian and living the Christian life. When Paul wrote this letter, he was at Corinth on his third missionary journey. He desired to visit the Roman church but could not . We as christians are instructed to live by the Spirit and bear fruit according to our new life in Jesus. When we as christian live by the Spirit and we let peace enter and stay in our our hearts. The Holy Spirit that lives in us will testify to others that we are truly children of God. The spirit gives us assurance with God that nothing will ever take away his love. By confessing verbally that Jesus Christ is Lord and by believing this with all our hearts, we are saved. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Faith play important part in being saved and obtaining eternal life. Romans 11 discusses that, although Israel rejected Jesus as the Messiah, they still have a chance to chosen and saved by grace and faith. Romans 12 is a call to the christians to live a life of peace, faithfully serving the Lord and overcoming the evil by faith. As christians we have an obligation to live as Jesus’s children in this present world. We are to serve the Lord out of love not greed and teach the world about gospel.
