“The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” The movie, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas begins the story in Germany. This movie tells the awful story of the holocaust and what happened. It is supposed to expose all truths of the holocaust. You learn about a young German boy named Bruno who is forced to move to Poland because his father is promoted in his job. Bruno makes a friend, a Jewish friend, who is in a concentration camp and the story goes from there. Bruno, an eight year old boy, comes home to find that his father who is a soldier has been promoted in his job and his family will be moving to Poland. He tells Bruno that his dad has gone missing and Bruno offers to help find him in return for the awful thing he did when he lied to the soldier. Bruno and Shmuel come up with a plan to find Shmuel’s father. The plan is that Shmuel was going to bring Bruno clothes like the ones he wore. Bruno would then dig a whole under the fence, enter Auschwitz and go look for Shmuel’s father. When Bruno returned home, he found that his mother was ready to move back to Berlin because she did not agree with what was going on in the camps and did not think it was a good place for children to grow up. The next day Bruno met Shmuel because they had to put their plan in action before Bruno moved back to Berlin. Bruno put the striped pajamas on that Shmuel brought him and climbed under the fence to go find Shmuel’s father. The two boys started walking towards the camp and Bruno had an uneasy feeling and wanted to go home but knew he promised Shmuel to find his father so he stayed. They did not find Shmuel’s father but instead got caught in a group of Jews and the soldiers were leading them to gas chambers to be killed but neither of the boys knew this. Meanwhile, Bruno’s parents are on a search for him. The movie ends with Bruno’s parents finding him in the gas chambers;
