Something bad can happen to someone and they could not even notice it. Someone could pretend to be your friend just for your nice house or nice things. If that happens to someone usually they do not notice it until after the fact. That is exactly what happened to Leandra toward the end of her vacation. She thought she had it made, but she did not. In this journal I will be evaluating, visualizing, and connecting. I like this book because it separates the story extremely well. All three main characters are in different locations and different places in their lives. Because they are in different locations the chapters are separated by characters. When Demi’s relationship was broken, she went on a rage of spending money and partying. This incident was funny to me because, ironically it was her now ex boyfriends money she was spending. When Sophia is nervous about going to Los Angeles, I picture myself moving to a different city by myself with nobody to lean back on. I think it would be nerve-racking. “Which is almost to the day I’ll have to be in LA”(Mitchell 181). I can visualize seeing someone I have not seen in years and I can only assume how happy I would be to see them. That’s just like Demi and Sophia when they saw each other before Sophia went to LA. Demi asked to see Sophia at kind of a inopportune time. When Demi and Sophie are fighting, I picture me and my twin sister fighting. I always picture this because we always fight over stupid things; just like Sophia and Demi in the book.
