Employment at the Brooklyn Museum is my unforgettable desire, which combines the love of art and a desire to educate people. Museum environment is one of the creative protected zones of history and culture where everyone has an option to experience the visual histories of civilization. It is a great vision to have people surrounded by masterpieces, when every picture has a story and elicits feelings, which changes people and makes them respect art more. Vivid and rather profound use of ornaments and narratives depicted in Hindu artwork is the reflection of the culture and beliefs that I enjoy. Being employed at the Brooklyn Museum would let me introduce the aforementioned intersections to the public, thus spreading the appreciation of Hindu art. Here, my skills as a curator of exhibitions make me fit for this program. I have sound academic preparation in art history, also practical experience in mounting art exhibitions and conducting educational-artistic projects. My skills in communication of ideas in a simplified manner and involving diverse people would be an advantage in the education department of the Brooklyn Museum. Also, the ability in project management as well as dealings with different stakeholders would be useful in the ever changing environment of the museum. I want to join this program because I desire to enhance my understanding of the management and curatorial practices of a museum. That is why I want to find out more about the most up-to-date curatorial methods, exhibition design, as well as the opportunities to involve the community in art practices.
