Buddhism is a major religion in today’s world and it came into being hundreds of years ago. Buddhism, popular today mainly in Asian places such as the Tibetan territory in China and Nepal. According to the film we will be going over, it was said:

"Buddha was born in a small kingdom... in ancient Nepal."

This has been subject to debate, and it is correct, but Buddhism as a religion was founded in the Shakya Republic within Ancient India. Buddhism was founded as an extension of Hinduism, but a Hinduism without a Caste System. Buddhism, being mainly from the eastern part of Ancient India, later spread to most of Asia, meaning, China, Korea, Bhutan, the Khmer Empire, Vietnam and so forth. Life is suffering. According to Buddhist Thought, to reach enlightenment you must understand the solid cause of suffering, both natural and innate. You must too find out how to end the suffering placed upon you, which is through good karma and the development of wisdom. It was Lama Norbu who said:
"If we can learn to meditate in the right way, we can all reach Enlightenment."
Only then will you reach Enlightenment and Nirvana.

Nirvana is a state of perfect peace and full enlightenment in where all suffering ceases, the burning fire of suffering and pain is done away with completely thus the soul achieves full liberation. To achieve this, you must have good karma.

Buddhism is based on of another principle that while life is continuous, negativity and suffering can be done away with if we are to rid ourselves of desires. Suffering is caused by desire. Desire has control over us and deludes us, thus we must rid ourselves of this mental craving. Lama Norbu had said that there were lords of darknesses, of pride, greed, fear, ignorance, and desire which were sent by Mara, a demon, to tempt the Buddha away from enlightenment. In the film, it is said:
“We must all die… and be reborn… and die again, and be reborn and die, and be reborn and die again.
No man can ever escape that curse.” - King
