What is the meaning of life? In the Quran that we were indeed created for a purpose beyond that of mere play and enjoyment. Allah also teaches that purpose of life is to also worship Him alone without associating partners with Him (The Purpose of Life, 2014). The primary objective of human life is to worship God. “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship me.” (Quran, 51:56). It must be noted that the Islamic concept of worship encompasses all human endeavors that are pursued for just ends, and in accordance with God’s commandments. When it comes to comparing and contrasting the two religions view of reincarnation, Islam: “There seems to be general agreement that, according to the Quran, the physical body is resurrected for the Day of Judgment (Islamicity, 1995-2017).”

While Islam is a monotheistic religion that believes in worshiping an almighty God, Buddhism rejects the notion of a creator God but does honor enlightened beings as deities. Buddhism preaches vegetarianism and shunning alcohol and drugs. Islam also bans alcohol but does not preach vegetarianism (Diffen, 2018). Buddhism was founded by a guru referred to as the Buddha, Originally known as Siddhartha Gautama. Islamic believes that God (or, in Arabic, Allah) revealed his direct word for humanity to Muhammad.
