Bullying has been an ongoing issue for the longest time. There are individuals in the world who sadly enjoy putting others down or making fun of them to make themselves feel superior and that is basically what bullying is. But recently through increase in technology and social media in the recent years cyber bullying has become a huge issue. Through cyber bullying teens are most impacted in all aspects mentally, physically, and emotionally. It is an issue that everyone needs to learn to deal with and help prevent it before it creates even larger issues.

First off, parents need to be aware and set limits about what kind of social media accounts or what kind of websites their children are using because being on the wrong websites can be the base of becoming a target for being cyber bullied. Also the teen themselves need to be aware of the people they befriend since now a days there are hundreds and thousands of fake or misleading accounts floating around on every social media platform. Not only this, but teenagers need to be aware of the content they post on their social media they need to realize that what they post is going to be seen by many people and how fast news can spread. For example, teen girls and boys need to be smart about the types of pictures they post and make sure that they are not too revealing in any way as those photos can be saved by people anywhere and used to black mail and such. The last and best tip for cyber bullying prevention for teens is to be smart and by being smart is keeping social media accounts to a minimum and having all privacy settings on since the less there is the less risk there
