Should Bullying have harsher punishments?

Bullying, where does it start and where does it end? Bullying should have harsher punishments because nobody stops bullying if told, it can lead to them harming you, and it can cause your focus to diminish. If you don’t start it then you won’t have to end it. Bullying is a serious issue that has to be stopped whether it be now or later. It can lead to serious harm and cause physical and mental pain. It never just stops and those bystanders you see must become upstanders.

There should be harsher punishments for bullying because bullying just doesn’t stop. Studies show that there is a percentage of children and teens that are bullied and don’t report it. There are 24% of teens and children that don’t report it to their school or tell their parents. In the text it states that “Physical bullying can take many forms” (Physical Bully, online). Bullying shows itself in all sorts of forms like pushing, punching, spitting, tripping, and slapping. This issue happens daily and nobody does anything about it, we only have bystanders that watch and don’t say or do anything. …show more content…

As said in some articles, bullying can become physical and at some cases can cause mental illnesses. As said before, bullying can be physical.
