The documents author does not agree with the idea of students getting in trouble for cyberbullying others outside of school because the school wasn't involved. This is against the other ideas in this essay because it is the school's responsibility to make sure every student is being treated fairly and every student is surrounded by people who make them better
Someone might argue that if people do nothing against cyberbullying then it might lead to physical violence and that shouldn’t happen. In source 3 it states “ the lack of immediate emotional feedback in cyberbullying allows aggressors to often continue the hurtful behavior unchecked.” This tells us that cyberbullying happens and often continues because they don’t have emotional feedback from being there and unlike cyberbullying people “immediately see the hurt they have caused to the target” which most people wouldn’t do. What should happen is cyberbullying prevention in schools to deter people from and warn others of the effects of cyberbullying. In source 1 it states “And bypassing the Prevention Act, we’re deterring people from engaging in cyberbullying by showing such behavior punishable by crime that won't be tolerated” although I don’t agree with the punishable by crime statement I do think that people should be warned and deterred from cyberbullying in
But, by neglecting the students their freedom of speech outside of school, it’s just plain ridiculous. For example, in a survey conducted in London, UK, 85% of British school teachers claimed that they were never a victim of cyberbullying (Document B). If our school is worried that students are threatening to harm our fellow teachers or specific students, that’s a valid reason as to why they’d want to monitor what we post. If a student is simply saying “Mrs. (insert name here) sucks as a teacher” on their twitter/facebook/etc, that’s their personal opinion. You can’t discipline that student for having an opinion.
Due to the increase of technology, it has become increasingly easy for students to bully each other on social media or by e-mail. This new method of communication allows students to make fun and belittle others anonymously, behind a computer screen. Cyberbullying has become increasingly prominent at local schools but despite the disruptions it may cause, schools should not be allowed to limit online speech. Cyberbullying does not affect the majority of people, it is not the most terrible offense and it happens oftentimes outside of school.
The law regarding schools’ ability to punish students for disrupting the learning environments in schools needs to be strengthened. Schools in this day and age have been facing a more and more frequent problem of having to deal with harassment and bullying online for while the internet does not increase the amount of bullying it does provide a medium to do so that our legal system is not fully prepared to handle. The internet gives students the ability to put out opinions that can very easily make it to a wide audience and indirectly impact the learning environment regardless if there are at school or not. Teachers have even become targets of their own students harassment and it is uncertain whether it is the school 's responsibility to deal with it or not.
Taking into consideration the problem of both cyberbullying and harassment are a problem to society. The problem depends on how the school and policies handle different situations. There are some schools policies that are able to help out students who are being cyberbullying on the other hand, there are those who can not do anything about bullying if it happens outside of school. It all comes to an end that depending on the situation the school can make a change in it. Helping the student out when dealing with cyberbullying and harassment can make it safe and secure on trusting somebody to overcome a time in the person's life that suffering takes place.
Joseph Maneen also says “If a school catches a student bullying someone online before the police do, the student is less likely to end up in legal trouble.” If the school disciplines the student before the real authorities get to discipline the student then the student is less likely to get into big trouble. Lastly if the student is bullying other students the bully needs to be disciplined before the bully gets into legal trouble. schools should not be allowed to search personal devices for actions outside of school.
Kids should not get suspended for cyber bullying because it could cause problems if the students are from two different schools or from a different country. The student can block the bully. The person is reliable for what they do on the internet. It is difficult to enforce the suspension when bullying could happen from anywhere outside the school The two students can be from a different country were different rules applied in government and in the schoolboard.

There are many different news articles about schools deciding whether they should put a limit on the stuff people say online. Many schools also wonder what restrictions, if any, should schools place on what students say using electronic media?
A girl in Musselman high school created a Myspace page dedicated to making fun of a fellow student’s sexuality (Doc C). This is a good example of why teenagers should not be trusted to say whatever they want on the internet, if there were more restrictions than that page would have never been created. Another part in preventing cyber bullying is getting the schools staff to recognize it. It is up to the staff to recognize that harassment (Doc F). Schools need to have a concern for the students well being ( Doc F).
My claim is people need to stop bullying. I think that people need to stop bullying because when people bully other people it hurt’s the and that could lead to significant problems in the future. Sometimes when the victim get bullied they think that it is ok to hurt the other people that surround their life, and it is never ok to hurt anyone ever. Sometimes when people get bullied they brush it off and it doesn 't hurt them, some people when they get bullied it really hurts them and they could even go into depression, sometimes when people are depressed they think that they don 't need to be alive anymore and they kill themselves or attempt to, which is never the way to go because there are always people that love you in your life you just have to realize who those people are. Bullying Can Be Prevented Bullying is a form of violence to pick on victims because they are different from their bullies, have insecurity/jealousy or home problems. The hate towards their victim has something to do with the victim having an unusual gift or being intelligent the bullies has yet to become. It is important that this behavior should be prevented or it will become worse. Bullying is one of the main issues public and private schools have to face on a day-to-day basis. When the bully takes it too far, the victim snaps and retaliates by fighting him/her back physically or verbally.
Bullying is defined as repeated oppression, physical or psychological of a less powerful individual by a more powerful individual, people or group. It consists of three main types of abuse which are physical, verbal and emotional. Bullying in schools is a common and worldwide spread problem that can have critical and negative implications on the general school climate as well as on the right of students to study in a safe and secure environment without fear. Many people believe that bullying is part of life, happens in all schools and so it’s not an issue to worry about and that it lets individuals know what life is all about as it toughens them but in reality bullying is a detrimental problem that affects most school going children and teenagers physically, emotionally and socially.
