Calvin Coolidge was a man that was well beloved by many American persons and left a great legacy on American life and politics in the roaring 20s despite being a person that came from humble beginnings and became president from succession rather than primary election. But how did Coolidge come to be one of the most prized and beloved presidents by being assumed into office and only serving one term? It was because Coolidge wasn’t just a man of character; he was the total embodiment of character. Coolidge utilized the value of trustworthiness, understanding, and honestly to win the hearts of millions and make sure that overdid what he had envisioned to do. It is through his work against the Ku Klux Klan, support for women’s suffrage, and effort to make the economy more stable where he is able to show and be the model of true American values. …show more content…

However, Calvin Coolidge was a staunch believer in women’s rights and of their equality to men. He would later recall in late 1930, “But women voters have had a very considerable influence on party platforms and governmental policy, especially on the humane and social welfare sides. Education is better served…They are devoted, steadfast, sensible.” Coolidge recognized that these women are doing wonderful things for the state of America and it is through their rights that America can become what it needs to be. His value of understanding was greatly influential and allowed for the betterment of society because he was able to realize women’s contributions to society and truly speak to it in great light, hoping that others would understand just as he
