As a child I loved playing a variety of games by myself and with family. My mom said that I liked to play candyland until she was, as she puts it, “sick to death of it.” I would definitely play Candyland still today.. If my family would let me. I think they refuse to play because I always won. I played chutes and ladders a lot of the time as well. Although, I’m not sure if I played the game as much as I just played with the board and pieces, I didn’t really understand the game much, it was still enjoyable. My grandma and my mom tell me that I liked play matching games a lot because they were helping me learn and because I’m kind of an organization freak. I rarely got a turn on this game, as I got older they told me it was because it was like getting a massage so their turn was never finished. I recall playing many board games with my mom, dad, sister, brother, and cousin. When Sebastian, my cousin, and I would go to my grandma and grandpa 's house (almost every day) we would often make up our own games such as ‘house’ and other child like games. When it was time to take a nap I would try to delay it as much as possible. I would sort of make a game out of making my grandma watch Mary Poppins with me every single day I was there. I can still recite lines from memory and grandma tells me about those days often. I played soccer when I was young as well for a few years. Soccer was a lot of fun and I recall enjoying it.
