Career Pathway Plan
What is the reason behind a career plan? Essentially everyone has a significant goal or aspiration they long to achieve in the future. Career planning is essential to achieving the goals and aspirations, in the preferred career. Whether there is an ambition to eventually be a manager within the desired field or pursue additional opportunities outside of the field, one must know the direction and the details required to achieve that goal. Having a realistic career plan in place is often an essential part of our growth and development. I intend to secure a Radiologic Technologist position within the profession. However, my intentions refuse to cease. I prefer to advance my education to receive my Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Sciences. I acquired a document of three accredited online radiology degree programs. To determine an online school is an arduous process. However, I am inclining towards Colorado Mesa University. What exactly needs to be done in order to obtain a bachelor’s degree? Very minimal, since I went to Bloomsburg University for three semesters. I have 15 credits of essential learning requirements, and 25 semester hours of radiologic science major requirements. The powerful question is; where is the going to get me? In-depth studies in clinical specialties, a border range of topics and more time to refine clinical skills. At this time I will have a B.S. R.T. (R), and I intend to advance my credentials to B.S.R.T. (R) (CT). To advance in computed tomography, structured education and clinical experience requirements are essential prior to submission of an application for certification and registration. Additionally, Colorado Mesa University obtains a specific program of study for computed tomography. Colorado Mesa University computed tomography program is intended to last about ten months. I will intend to take 16 program specific certificate requirements, regarding computed tomography. The courses range from sectional anatomy, principles of CT, applied CT, clinical specialization; there are two courses for clinical specialization. These courses make up the total of the 16 credits for the program specific requirements. At least fifty percent of the credits must be taken at Colorado Mesa University, however since I did take Cross sectional anatomy at Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences, that may transfer
