This sentiment encapsulates my journey, characterized by resilience, self-discovery, and a commitment to personal growth. Raised in a family of immigrants who sacrificed immensely to provide me with opportunities, I found myself grappling with identity and purpose during my formative years. The disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic further complicated my transition into high school, depriving me of the typical freshman experience and leaving me adrift. Reflecting on my trajectory, I recognized the need for a transformative shift in mindset and priorities. My sophomore year, which had essentially served as my freshman year, was marred by apathy and a lack of direction. However, a pivotal realization spurred me into action: the realization that I owed it to myself and my family to maximize the opportunities afforded to me.
