Standing in front of an ancient Greek sculpture, intact in silence and loyal to history, Keats could not help but chanting "Beauty is truth, truth beauty". Hundred years later, I saw such beauty as Keats did, the moment I wrote down my first line of code: "Hello World!". It was the very first time that I opened the gate of a new world, which was built totally on human intelligence. Since then, I embarked on my journey of computer science. In my college years, with great passion, I gained all credits required in computer science in only three years. Furthermore, for the seek of keeping pace with cutting-edge research projects which cannot be accessed in lectures, I joined Advanced Network Laboratory (ANL) as a research assistant. First, CMU can offer me chances to develop rich and deep understanding in computer science which will enable me to become a well-trained and decent explorer. Compelling and high-demanding lectures by world-renowned experts will improve my professional skills, and internship in summer with leaders in industry or top-flight research groups on and off campus will help me explore and develop the latest technology in industry. More importantly, CMU can provide me with an excellent environment for innovation. There are many outstanding partners sharing the same passion to light up the world by programming in CMU. Sharing my thoughts and ideas with these talent peers can always lead to generation of inspiration. Kai-Fu Lee, former vice president of Microsoft and Google and Andrew Ng, the co-founder of Coursera both graduated from CMU, and designed promising systems to change the world.
