Although, Cinder and Ella have similarities such as living with their step mother and step sisters, falling for a prince, attending a ball and having past away parents I noticed a lot of differences. Cinder is a book about a mechanic cyborg who lives in a futuristic setting in New Beijing. Cinder lives with her step sisters and mother but only bonds with one of them, which is her step sister Peony. Later on in the book Peony is affected by a contagious plague called letumosis, letumosis is a virus killing many Earthians due to the struggle of finding a cure of the strange sickness. Dr. Erland and many other scientist try their best to find the cure but once they do from the lunar queen Levana before Peony can take it, Peony passes away at the hospital in front of Cinder.
Rodeo Mornings The sound of the alarm clock going off and the sound of the horses neighing is what most of us hear every morning. Rodeo mornings are always crazy, so much to do in so little time. Some people say the rodeo life is easy, but most don't realize all the hard work that really goes into it. The beginning of a busy weekend consists of, getting up at the crack of dawn getting the horses fed, gathering up all the equipment/ tack and making sure we have everything we need because there is no time to turn around if we forgot something.
Each of them have a unique design, that would cause it to have special features for each individual ride. Each had a basic metal structure, but an individual outline. My favorite consisted of steep inclines and fast drops, that would leave the passenger feeling heavier than they would normally. I also loved the rapid rate of speed during a ride. It was most interesting that we got to learn the engineering process of a roller coaster.
The Iowa State Fair is the most influential events throughout the state of Iowa during the month of August. This is a place where one can go to experience shows, art, food, and see livestock from all around the country. Most people however, go to this fair simply to have fun. On my visit to the Iowa State Fair in the previous summer, tasting all of the different foods, quality of the rides and the positive attitude from the carnival workers highly encourages me to come back year after year.
The Wonder Wheel was built in 1920 and still stands today nearly 100 years later. The only time the ferris wheel ever stopped while not under control by the operator was in 1977 during the New York City Blackout. Over 35 million rides have been given since the ride was constructed. After Coney Island opened people saw it as a place to spent not only their time, but their money too. Amusement parks brought in a lot of profit.
It’s never been a secret that you love amusement parks. You love thrills, to go fast, for wind to run its fingers through your hair and push your head back. You love to feel like you’re flying, like you’re a free bird able to soar across the sky. Only roller coasters allow you to feel this sense of euphoria that you crave.
The Ferris was big enough to carry a total of 2,160 people at one time. It was a great success and contributed to a large portion of the profits made at the fair. Along with the Ferris wheel invention, the new food product called Cracker Jack popcorn was displayed and sold to thousands of attendees at the fair. The Fair also introduced Wrigley’s Gum, The zipper, Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer, and the invention of a ready-mixed pancake powder for the masses to indulge
The Museum Although the city of Chicago is usually associated with well-known historical events, such as the Chicago Fire for example, this wonderful city can also be attributed with hosting two unique and significant historical events—the World’s Fair of 1893 and the establishment of the original Field Museum in 1921. In addition to being held as an event to celebrate Christopher Columbus and the discovery of the “new world” in 1492, the Chicago World’s Fair—also commonly referred to as the World’s Columbian Exposition—was also an opportunity to celebrate art as a whole and to allow for inventors all around the globe to showcase their new devices and art. However, because the World’s Fair of 1983 was a one-time event and was, essentially,
The attraction which saved the fair from bankruptcy was the ferris wheel. “The Ferris Wheel quickly became the most popular attraction of the exposition. Thousands rode it every day. In the week beginning July 3 Ferris sold 61,395 tickets for a gross return of $30,697.50. The Exposition Company took about half, leaving Ferris an operating profit for that one week of $13,948 (equivalent today to about $400,000)”
Using technology can be good and bad in many ways for instance if you need a ride home you can call or text your parents/friends for one. I think technology is bad even if I use it it will always be bad for us it. I use technology when i 'm bored, stressed, or sad, it helps me relax in many ways. Ever since I broke my electronic ive been more active and have been hanging out with my friends or family more often so I think it does isolate us

There is nothing that can compare to it including the Centennial Exhibition at Philadelphia. It highlights the fair by talking of the grandeur of the layout and the buildings. The article also looks at the technological and technical advances that has occurred that past seventeen years since the fair in Philadelphia. The Chicago World’s Fair is so great that even though its costs somewhat more than the Centennial Exhibition, there is far more to see and do that makes it worth the money. The author of the article goes even further by saying, “The benefit to the visitors and to the country is something that cannot be computed in figures or measured by comparison” (“The Success of the World’s Fair).
Disneyland is the magical world for kids that enjoy fictional characters and images in breathtaking colors. But in my opinion, Disneyland is for more than just kids. The exhilarating rollercoaster rides, scrumptious food, and other attractions sum up what is expected there. Trust me when I say all ages will have a great time at the Magical Kingdom. When you first step through the gates of the park, instantly there is excitement everywhere.
